Our Washington D.C. team seeks an experienced advertising and marketing creative with strong design, management and client skills. He/she must possess exceptional art direction and design skills with the ability to implement work in all media including print, digital and TV advertising as well as branding and web design.
Responsibilities:
- Executes and assists in overseeing advertising and general creative campaigns as well as other internal projects as required
- Uses conceptual, creative, critical thinking to design and execute communications objectives, creative strategies and effective advertising campaigns
- Attends regular status/kick-off meetings, creative review meetings and brainstorming sessions
- Works from a brief with a copywriter, generate ideas to present to the clients
- Art directs and assists in the supervision of photo and video shoots in order to acquire high-quality creative assets for use in print ads, online, television spots and other marketing and advertising materials.
- Manages timelines for the overall projects, plans and tracks deadlines with internal creative teams, production and operations to ensure on-time delivery of all creative materials
- Applies knowledge and experience in the creation of work for print, out of home, online, and on-air from concept all the way to production
- Designs and executes comps, storyboards, presentation boards and other creative materials as needed
- Commissions and manages specialists, such as artists and photographers, to work on projects
- Works to budgets and within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Partners and collaborates with account services team to understand and meet our client’s business needs
Skills:
- Strong design skills – Adobe Creative Suite 5, typography and page layout, retouching, (animation and motion graphics a plus)
- Well versed in digital design / UI experience / production
- Must have strong organizational, project management, problem solving and time-management skills
- Leadership and strong interpersonal skills
Requirements:
- 3-6 years professional design experience
- Possesses strong conceptual skills, expert design sense, detail oriented, a broad conceptual thinker, a fast learner and able to offer a variety of design solutions
- Must be strong team/leader and be able to supervise multiple people on multiple projects under tight deadlines
- BA, BFA, or advanced degree in graphic design, advertising or a related field
- Resume and design samples are required for consideration
