About Us

Proof Integrated Communications exists to help our clients address critical and complex problems by deploying creative solutions rooted in evidence to drive measurable results. We use research to provoke strategic insights that fuel creative invention and provide quantitative justification for marketing communications efforts.

We are a full-service, channel-agnostic, integrated marketing communications firm within the WPP Group, a world leader in marketing communications.

From a capabilities perspective, we’re a large agency—we produce television commercials, short- and long-form video, print ads, radio spots, out-of-home advertising, websites, online advertising, social media campaigns, and events. In essence, anything a large agency does we can do, too (and our clients often tell us we do it better). Yet, in terms of client service, we’re a small shop—a boutique that treats every client as if it were our largest and most important. We don’t just recognize the need for client responsiveness in today’s market, we dedicate ourselves to it.

And although nearly everyone who works at Proof has experience in filmmaking or at an advertising agency, in many ways it’s our political pedigree that sets us apart. We know first-hand the value of working quickly, responding immediately, and keeping our clients on-message. What other agencies can turn around in weeks, we accomplish in days. What other agencies have learned to turn around in days, we complete in hours. We’re available to our clients whenever they need us and we’re relentlessly focused on doing excellent, efficacious work.

Inspired by Evidence

Research shows that what marketers value most in an agency partner today is strategic audience insight.

Proof Integrated Communications was founded on the idea that the keenest insights can be discovered and developed through research, enabling the resulting creative solutions to be truly effective.

Working in concert with research specialists, our team at Proof crafts arresting and engaging creative work.
Our award-winning work is based on what the target audience wants—that’s what drives the writers, art directors, producers, editors, graphic designers, and creative directors at Proof.

Because it’s not just the work that matters, the real proof is in the results.

Family of Companies

Working as partners with some of the world’s biggest names, Proof is a member of the Burson-Marsteller family of brands, part of Young & Rubicam Brands (Y&R). Our relationship with these organizations is unique in the industry and has created a combination of companies strategically positioned to provide our clients with a complete range of integrated services — all with a global reach. We enhance our expansive client-service capabilities through Young & Rubicam Brands’ membership in WPP plc, the most comprehensive communications services group in the world.

  • Creative Director

Ladon Roeder, Creative Director for Proof’s Washington D.C. office, leads the team of creatives developing advertising campaigns and strategic communications in television, print and interactive medias.

He provides creative and strategic expertise to a broad range of clients and brands including Intel, Microsoft, Dominion, Comcast, Qualcomm, Chase Bank, HTC and several other accounts. With a clear understanding of the role creative communication and the value powerful ideas play in bringing business goals to fruition, Ladon directs the work of a talented team of copywriters, art directors, designers and editors to deliver outstanding creative.

Ladon holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He has also been a regular guest lecturer on information design and marketing topics at the University of British Columbia, Harvard Graduate School of Design and the Walt Disney Company. His creative interests continue through the pursuit of photography and painting.

  • Creative Director

It was in the ‘80s, over lunch at The Four Seasons, that Jerry Della Femina (From Those Wonderful Folks Who Gave You Pearl Harbor) recruited Jody to lead the creative department of his $200 million agency in Pittsburgh. (Maybe she has an ashtray commemorating the occasion.) Before that, she had progressed through the ranks of copywriter and creative director at several Madison Avenue shops: Cunningham & Walsh before it was Ayer, Dancer Fitzgerald Sample before it was Saatchi, and Y&R.

Working for Jerry, she created campaigns for Taster’s Choice, Lean Cuisine, and Stouffer’s frozen foods—her “Nothing comes closer to home” campaign ran for twelve years and rebuilt the brand. She also won an Effie and a CLIO for her work on Alcoa.

Jody has also been Global VP of Marketing for a human resources development firm serving the Fortune 500. She joined Burson-Marsteller’s Pittsburgh office in 1995 as Managing Director. She has led creative, strategy, branding, and marketing communications initiatives for nearly every one of the firm’s clients. Her work has won SABRE Awards (Superior Achievement in Branding and Reputation), including one for her “Refreshing a thirsty planet” CSR campaign for The Coca-Cola Company.
In the spring of 2010, Jody returned to New York City as Creative Director of Proof.

Jody received her B.A. in Advertising Journalism from Penn State University. In 2006 she graduated with a Masters in Communications Planning and Information Design from Carnegie Mellon University, the world’s top-ranked multimedia graduate program.
